Jim spent 15 years as Creative Director/Copywriter at J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco and 2 years as Executive Creative Director at Foote, Cone & Belding Direct before launching Sanderson Studios in 1997.
He came up with the “Pin Drop” for Sprint. It’s an advertising classic. But, has he thought of anything else? Yes. “A Crash Course in Auto Insurance” for 21st Century Auto Insurance. “Dancing Scissors” for Supercuts. “Newton’s Cradle” for Micro Focus which generated over 7000 leads. “Hold the one that holds the record” for Goldwin Golf. “It runs rings around anything else” for AT&T Digital Cable. “Scream Saver” for Robert Half International. “Corke Diem” for Williams-Sonoma. The “Real People” radio campaign for Cost Plus World Market. And more. Effective, efficient ideas that help clients reach their goals. That’s what you’ll get when you work with Sanderson Studios.
If you’ve heard of the brand, chances are he worked on it. Bryan’s art direction stands out as some of the cleanest, simplest and most compelling examples you’ll come across. For instance: a print ad for Kodak that folds out to show the panoramic capabilities of their new camera; a see-through billboard for Ray Ban that not only sells the product but demonstrates it as well; a bar of Lava soap in the grubby little hands of Pig Pen from the Peanuts Cartoon series. Simple images that tell the story and sell the product.
Frank Priscaro helps companies use brand strategy as their prime organizing principle. By creating an accessible, but powerful brand strategy, and orienting the company around it, Frank helps companies very quickly develop a compelling story around their most unique attributes.
Frank has seen branding from both sides, from inside companies as a brand and marketing executive (Vextec and Transmeta) and as an independent brand consultant developing brand strategies and programs. His experience includes award-winning campaigns for Adobe Systems, Apple, Intel, Computerworld, IDG, InfoWorld, National Semiconductor, Quantum, Sun Microsystems, VeriFone, and Xilinx.
He has worked at Chiat/Day, San Francisco; TFB, Silicon Valley’s largest independent ad agency; and later was President and founder of Priscaro & Hukari, an independent consumer technology agency. During its 10-year run, P&H earned a reputation for creative and strategic excellence.
Frank has also taught communications at San Jose State University, been a columnist at “Technology Marketing” magazine, and is a frequent speaker and writer on technology marketing and branding issues. He has over 30 years of communications, advertising and brand development experience in Silicon Valley, and is uniquely suited to play an impactful role.
